OCTAVIAN AND JULIUS CAESAR, (assassinated 44 B.C.), AE sestertius or dupondius, South Italy mint (possibly Puteoli), struck 38 B.C., (16.92 and 16.82 g), obv. head of Octavian to right, around CAES[AR DIVI.F, rev. wreathed head of Julius Caesar to right, around DIVOS IVLIVS, (S.1569, RPC 620, Cr.535/1, CRI 308, Syd. 1335, BMC 106, RBW 1822). Toned, good and rare. (2)
