AUGUSTUS, (27 B.C. - A.D. 14), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued 19 B.C. by Q. Rustius, (3.60 g), obv. jugate busts draped to right of Fortuna Victrix holding patera (nearer) and Fortuna Felix, diademed around [Q RVS]TIVS FORTVNAE, below AN[TIAT], rev. CAESARI AVGVSTO, EX. SC in exergue, ornamental rectangular altar inscribed FOR RE, (S.1605, RIC 322, RSC 513, BMC 2). Areas of flat striking and mild surface pitting, otherwise nearly extremely fine and very rare.
