NERO, (A.D. 54-68), AE as, Rome mint, issued c.A.D. 65, (10.58 g), obv. bare head of Nero to left, around IMP NERO CAESAR AVG P MAX TR P P P, rev. S C across, Victory flying left holding shield inscribed SPQR, (cf.S.1976, RIC 544, cf.BMC 381). Green patina, some surface pitting, otherwise nearly extremely fine and scarce.
