GALBA, (A.D. 68-69), AE As, (10.77 g), Rome mint, issued October 68, obv. laureate bust of Galba to right, around SER GALBA IMP CAES AVG TR P, rev. Libertas standing to left, holding pileus and vertical rod, around LIBERTAS PVBLICA, S C across, (cf.S.2134, cf.RIC 423). Deeply toned, very fine and apparently unpublished obverse legend for this reverse type, scarce in this condition.
