GALBA, (A.D. 68-69), AE As, Rome Mint, issued December 68, (11.88 g), obv. laureate head of Galba to right, around SER SVLPI GALBA IMP CAESAR AVG PM TR P, rev. around PAX S AVGVSTI, S C either side of Pax standing to left, holding cornucopiae and torch, setting fire to a pile of arms on the ground, (S.-, RIC 497, C.159). Dark patina, good fine and rare variety.
