JAPAN, April 1871 imperf. issues, on native wove paper, 200 mon red, as perforated issues on thin laid paper (illustrated), 1/2 sen brown, 1 sen blue, 2 sen red (2), 5 sen green, each described on individual folder with plate number references and estimates, most with irregular perforated margins (SG 2 var, 17, 19, 21, 22); together with 30 sen black (4, one perf. 11.5, rough perfs no syllabics, illustrated) various papers (cf.SG 60); 1873 4 sen red, (2) (SG 46); 1875 bean goose 12 sen red, 15 sen lilac, 45 sen red (2) (goshawk, one illustrated), (SG 61-63, CV £700), 45 sen red (2), (SG 111, CV £600) (illustration). Mostly fine used, several rare. (16)
