ELIZABETH I, (1558-1603), sixth issue, fine gold sovereign, mm tun, issued 1591-1595, (15.45 g), (S.2529, N.2003). Very attractive round coin with a sharp portrait, nearly extremely fine and very rare in this condition.

Ex Mark E. Freehill Collection, and previously from Noble Numismatics Sale 53 (lot 831), previously from the Seaby Coin & Medal Bulletin, July-August 1990 (EG11, £3750).
