WILLIAM I, (1066-1087), silver penny, Profile/Cross fleury type, Romney Mint, issued 1066-1068, (1.25 g), obv. crowned bust with diadem to left with sceptre, ILLEMV REX around, rev. cross fleury, around +PVLFMAER ON RV (Wulfmaer of Romney [Rume]), (S.1250, North 839, BMC type i). Toned, nearly extremely fine and very rare.
