WILLIAM II, (1087-1100), silver penny, cross voided type, Rochester Mint, issued 1092-1095, (1.35 g), obv. crowned bust facing with stars each side, PILLEM R around, rev. voided cross pattee over a cross annulet, annulet in centre, around +IFSTAN ON ROF (Aelfstan of Rochester) (N.853, S.1260, BMC.iii). Toned, very fine and very rare.
