HENRY I, (1100-1135), silver penny, BMC 15, quadrilateral on cross fleury type, London Mint, (1.43 g), obv. bust facing crowned and diademed, three quarters left, sceptre in right hand, ..ENRIC [REX], rev. quatrefoil on cross fleury, ES[TM]VN[D] ON LVN around (Estmunt of London), (S.1276, BMC15 ). Toned, very fine, usual striking weakness.

Ex Mark E. Freehill Collection, and previously from Noble Numismatics Sale 99 (lot 2329), the Tom May Collection. Came as a private purchase from Spink (?) with old collector's ticket with Hawkins number, 255 and price £1.
