EDWARD IV, (second reign 1471-1483). Light coinage, 1480-1483, silver groat, (3.13 g), London Mint, mm cinquefoil, rose on breast, Group XXI, rev. CIVI TAS LOn DOn around, (S.2100, N.1631). Grey with red patination, extremely fine and scarce.

Ex Mark E. Freehill Collection, from Spink & Son, London with their tickets as acquired October 1998, previously ex Richard Cyril Lockett Collection (lot 3170 part).
