SINGAPORE, fighting cock series, Sumatra, Port of Susu prototype, one cent 1804 (6.50g) (26.8mm), edge faintly grained right (Pridmore 17; SS.23), perhaps overstruck. Beautiful even dark grey brown patina, nearly extremely fine and very rare, one of the finest known.

Ex E.Wodak, J.G.Gartner, W.J.Noble via R.Jewell in 1967 with his ticket to Mark E.Freehill Collection.
