GREEK PROVINCIAL COINS, including Coele-Syria, Chalcis, Ptolemy, (85-40 B.C.), AE 21, (7.90 g), issued year 46 = 73/2 B.C., obv. laureate head of Zeus to right, with countermark on obverse, uncertain symbol, rev. standing figures of the Dioscuri facing each other, to right [LMZ], (cf.S.5897, SNG Cop. 413); others from Pisidia, Antioch, Philip I, obv. radiate bust, rev. standards (illustrated); Macedon, Amphipolis, Severus Alexander, rev. City goddess seated left, (S.3261); Syria, Zeugma, Antoninus Pius, rev. legend in two lines; Syria, Antioch, Nero, (6.75 g), rev. SC in wreath; Cilicia, Soli, obv. Tyche, rev. Dioscuri caps, (S.5624); Macedon, Antigonos Gonatas (277-239 B.C.), AE 18, obv. Macedonian shield, rev. Macedonian helmet, (cf.S.6781). Mostly fine - very fine, several scarce. (7)
