NERO, (A.D. 54-68), AE As of reduced module, Lugdunum (Lyon) mint, issued A.D. 66, (9.95 g), obv. laureate head of Nero to right, around IMP NERO CAESAR AVG P MAX TR P P P, with small globe at point of bust, rev. S C across, Genius of the emperor standing to left, sacrificing from patera over altar and holding cornucopiae, around GENIO AVGVSTI, (cf.S.1977, RIC 533, WCN 591). Full legend with brown patina, with a good portrait, good very fine, slightly porous on reverse, scarce.
