ANTONINUS PIUS (A.D. 138-161), AE As, issued 148-149, Rome mint, (10.75 g), obv. laureate head to right of Antoninus Pius, around [AN]TONINVS AVG PI VS P P TR P XII, rev. elephant walking to right, around [MV]NIFICENTIA AVG, COS IIII/ S C in exergue, (S.4308, RIC 862a, C.565). Deep green patina, some old smoothing, very fine and scarce.
