FAUSTINA SENIOR, wife of Antoninus Pius, (died 141 A.D.), AE sestertius, (26.42 g), issued after AD 141, obv. DIVA FAVSTINA, draped bust of Faustina I to right, hair elaborately waved and piled in bun on top of head, rev. AETER-NITAS Aeternitas, standing left, holding phoenix and lifting hem of skirt, to sides S C, (S.5222, C.7, RIC III 1693). Uneven patina nearly very fine and scarce.
