BAKTRIA, Greco-Baktrian Kingdom, Diodotos I, (c.255-235 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, 26mm, (16.30 g), struck in the name of Antiochos II of Syria, Mint A (near Ai Khanoum), obv. Diademed head right of Diodotos, doted border, rev. Zeus Bremetes advancing left, with thunderbolt, to inner left, monogram above eagle standing left, to left ANTIOXOY to right **BASILEWS*, (S.7498, Holt Series A, Group 6, Bopearachchi 2E; Bopearachchi & Rahman -; SNG ANS 77 (same obv. die), HGC 9, 244 [R1]). Bright, very fine or better, light porosity.
