FAUSTINA JUNIOR, wife of Marcus Aurelius (died AD 175) AE sestertius (23.51g) assured after AD 161, Rome Mint, obv. draped bust to right of Faustina wearing diadem, around FAUSTINA AUGUSTA, rev. Hilaritas standing to left, holding long palm and cornucopiae, around HILARITAS, SC across field (S.5275, RIC 1642, C.112). Attractive patina, extremely fine or better and very rare in this condition.
