TRIO TO 6 LIGHT HORSE: 1914-15 Star; British War Medal 1914-18; Victory Medal 1914-19. 716 Pte F.W.Gillett. 6/L.H. Rgt. A.I.F., second medal an unnamed replica, 716 Pte. F.W.Gillett 6 L.H.R. A.I.F. on last medal. Both named medals impressed. Display mounted, good very fine.

Together with five WWI b&w photos of Egypt; unused fold-out Christmas/New Year's card from Mediterranean Expeditionary Force showing Mudros Harbour.

Frederick William Gillett, cook, age 38, born at London, England; Enl.10Dec1914 at Holsworthy, NSW with 12 years previous service in Rifle Brigade; Emb.25Feb1915; to Gallipoli 15May1915; to hospital sick 09Oct1915; RTA 24Jun1916 for operation on varicose veins; Disch.13Oct1916 Medically Unfit; Died 20Jan1961 at Sydney, NSW.
