1887 PROOF FLORIN, Victoria, 1837-1901. 1887, S-3925, ESC-2954, Davies 810? (R). 11.22g. Obverse - Joachim E. Boehm's Jubilee bust with small crown and veil, J.E.B. on truncation. Reverse - As per the double florin, Crowned cruciform shields with a Garter star in the centre. Four sceptres featuring symbols for the three kingdoms, i.e. England (sceptre with a cross), Ireland (harp) and Scotland (thistle), separate the shields. Dark blue grey tone, minimal obverse hairlines, nearly FDC/FDC and rare.
