HADRIAN, (117-138 A.D.), AE sestertius, Rome mint, part of the "Province cycle". Adventus type, 32mm, (25.60 g), issued 130-138 A.D., obv. HADRIANVS AVG COS III [P P], bareheaded and draped bust to right of Hadrian, rev. around ADVENTVI AVG MACEDONIAE, S C in exergue, Hadrian standing right, raising hand and holding roll, facing Macedonia, standing left, holding patera over altar, and whip, bull (victim) at foot of altar. (S.-, RIC 1777 [R2], Banti 44, Strack 756). Fine or better, very rare.
