R.D.Norris R.A.N. on first to fifth medals, 18692 R.D.Norris on sixth, 18692 P.O.Cook R.D.Norris R.A.N. on last medal. Impressed. Mounted for wear, some ribbons frayed, good very fine.
Roy Davis Norris, Royal Australian Navy, cook, born 17Oct1904 in Carlton, Vic; Enl.15Aug1927 Sydney; served on cruisers Australia, Canberra, Adelaide and on the HMAS Perth during it's operations in the Mediterranean in 1941; Disch. 08Dec1961 as Supply Lieutenant (SD), HMAS Watson.^^With copy of service record and his book 'A Cook's Tour - HMAS Perth's Mediterranean War 1941'.
