GROUP OF SIX: Queen's South Africa Medal 1899 - clasps - Transvaal, South Africa 1902; 1914-15 Star; British War Medal 1914-18; Victory Medal 1914-19; Colonial Auxiliary Forces Decoration (GRI); Colonial Auxiliary Forces, Long Service Medal (GVR). 2746 Tpr O.L.Davy Aus:Com:H on first medal, Lieut O.L.Davey 3 LHR AIF on second medal, Lieut O.L.Davey A.I.F. on third and fourth medals, Lieut Davey UNAAT list on fifth and Lieut O.L.Davey UNAAT List on sixth medal. First to fourth medals impressed, last two medals engraved. Court mounted for wear, good very fine.

Oliver Leopold Davey, mining surveyor, age 20yrs, born East Moonta, Sth Aust. Joined 4ACH SA 05Feb1902 in Wallaroo, departed Australia 01Apr1902. Note. Davey appears in Murray p383 as 2747 Davy, medal impressed 2746.

WWI Enl.21Aug1914, Emb 22Oct1914 Adelaide with 3 LHR, proceeded to join MEF Gallipoli 09May 1915, WIA 13Jun1915. RTA 08Oct1915 as unfit for general service for 6 months (dislocated knee). Re-Enl.28Apr1916, Emb.08May1916 Melbourne, RTA 27Sep1917.

With research plus Certificate of Honorable Discharge (45x38cm), 4th December 1917, large group photographs mounted on heavy card (46x37cm) (2), Officers and NCOs of 'A' Company, S.A. Infantry Regt; Commonwealth Military Senior Cadet Corps.
