Recommendation: During the period under review, this N.C.O. has been in charge of the Brigade Snipers Section and has shown great keenness and initiative in the execution of his duties. His line work has been excellent and it is largely due to his efforts and resourcefulness in dealing with enemy snipers that our casualties from this cause have been negligible. During the consolidation of our new positions after the attacks of September 20th and October 4th 1917 heavy casualties were inflicted on the enemy owing to the well organized sniping of the above section.
