GROUP OF EIGHT: 1914-15 Star; British War Medal 1914-18; Victory Medal 1914-19; 1939-45 Star; Pacific Star; War Medal 1939-45; Australia Service Medal 1939-45; Coronation Medal 1937. 2211 Pte R.R.Nixon. 4/Bn. A.I.F. on first three medals, B279 R.R.Nixon on fourth to seventh medals, the last medal unnamed as issued. All named medals impressed. Swing mounted, first ribbon damaged, contact marks on some medals, otherwise fine - good very fine.

Together with Australian Rising Sun hat badge (KC); Australia titles in bronze (4); Australian Red Cross Society badge in oxidised bronze and enamel (KC); Royal Navy officer's button (KC - medium size); Royal Australian Navy button (KC - small size); 2/9th Australian General Hospital cloth colour patches WWII (2); sterling silver disc on neck chain, the disc inscribed on obverse, '279/R.R.Nixon./Aus. Red Cross./C. of E.' and on reverse, 'From/Father, Mother,/Yvonne & Bruce./27.8.42.'; WWI postcards (3) and Xmas card 1918.

Gunner Robert Rex Nixon confirmed as a member of the Military Detachment of the 1937 Coronation Contingent.
