ITALY, Bruttium, Kaulonia, (c.500-480 B.C.), silver third nomos (2.58 g), obv. Apollo advancing right, holding branch, small daimon running right on Apollo's left arm, to right, stag standing right, head reverted, KAV**L*O to left upwards, rev. incuse of obverse, but no daimon, (S.253, Noe, Caulonia, 204-5, BMC 15, Rhousopoulos 210, HN Italy 2039). Surface pitting, very fine and rare.
