MACEDON, Kingdom of, Philip III, (323-317 B.C.), silver drachm, (4.14 g), Sardes mint, issued c.323-319 B.C., obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin with dotted border, rev. Zeus seated on throne to left, eagle in outstretched hand, TI over star to left, to right **FILIPPOU*. (cf.S.6750, Price P88, BMC P88, M.(P34), SNG Cop.-, SNG Greece -). Toned, good very fine, obverse off centred.
