VETURIUS, silver denarius, (c.137 B.C.), Rome Mint, (3.18 g), obv. helmeted and draped bust of Mars right, X and [TI.VET] behind, rev. youth kneeling left between two warriors who touch their swords on a pig which the youth holds, ROMA above, (S.111, Crawford 234/1, Syd 527, RSC Veturia 1). Toned, banker's marks, nearly very fine and scarce.
