L. MARCIUS PHILIPPUS, (c.56 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome Mint, (3.67 g), obv. Ancus Marcius head to right, ANCVS and lituus below and to left, dotted border, rev. PHILIPPVS behind equestrian statue to right on an arcade of five arches, within A Q V A MAR, flower below horse, (S.382, Cr.425/1, Syd.919a, RSC Marcia 29). Toned, faint edge crack on obverse field, nearly extremely fine and scarce.
