JUSTINIAN I, (A.D. 527-565), Carthage Mint, silver half siliqua, issued 537-552, (1.06 g), obv. diademed draped and cuirassed bust right, around DN IVS[TINI]ANVS PP AV, rev. large monogram, cross above, retrograde S below, all within linear border within wreath, (MIBE 53 var, SB 254, BN 8-11). Attractively toned with some lustre, good very fine - nearly extremely fine and rare.
