(St John's Collegiate School) Sports, hand engraved medals, includes one in silver (28x40mm), hallmarked for Birmingham 1900 by maker WHH (William Hair Haseler), reverse inscribed 'S.J.C.S.Sports/1907/100 Yds Low Sch./A.W.Goodfellow'; another in silver (22x22.5mm), by A.Kohn, reverse inscribed 'S.J.C.S.Sports/1908/A.Goodfellow/1st 100 Yds Junr'; another in silver (31x31mm), hallmarked for Birmingham 1900 by maker WHH (William Hair Haseler), reverse inscribed S.J.C.S.Sports/1908/A.Goodfellow/1st/100Yds/Under 14'; another in silver and 9ct gold (34x34mm), hallmarked for Birmingham 1909 by maker WA (William Adams Ltd), reverse inscribed 'S.J.C.S./Sports/1909/Presented by/W.R.Holmes Esq./A.Goodfellow', all medals with ring top suspension; also voided, concave silver button badges (24-25mm each), pin-back, all for B.G.S., includes 'Juvenile Swimming Champion 1935'; 'F.Goodfellow Jun Swimming Champ 1936'; 'F.Goodfellow Jun Swimming Champ 1937'; 'Junior Swimming Champion 1938'; 'Sen Swimming Champ 1939'; 'Senior Swimming Champ 1940'; and a Royal Life Saving Society Bronze Medal (33mm), ring top suspension, reverse inscribed 'F.Goodfellow/F/1939'. The 1909 gold and silver medal heavily toned, otherwise very fine. (11)
St John's Collegiate School was located at The Pah in Onehunga, and in 1912 it was merged with King's College, now in Remuera, Auckland.
