AUCKLAND POULTRY SHOW, 1884, trophy cup, in sterling silver plate (D82xH166mm), no maker's name, one side inscribed 'Mr Kohn's Prize/For the highest number of points in the/Auckland Poultry Show/awarded to/J.Walker/July 1884'. Very fine.

The Auckland Poultry, Pigeon, Canary and Rabbit Association closed its three day annual show held in July 1884 at the Lorne Street Hall and the chief prize winner was Mr John Walker of the Auckland Market. He took no less than 50 money prizes, also a silver cup for most points in rabbits and several other prizes. In fact in the rabbits section he took all the prizes in every class.^^With research.
