FRANCE, Chassepot sword bayonet M1866, St Etienne 1870, for Franco-Prussian War, steel blade with fuller both sides and back of blade with inscribed French text near the guard, metal guard stamped S46135, brass handle, with steel scabbard stamped S46135. Some oxidation on the scabbard, otherwise fine.

Note: Licence to own required in State of Victoria, Australia.
