EVELYN WAUGH, famous author, large b&w photos (approx 19x24cm), one featuring Evelyn Waugh in a suit at the unveiling of a bronze head of Reverend Ronald Knox mounted on a stone stand; the other features a library photo from 1963 of Evelyn Waugh in a dinner suit wearing miniatures of his WW2 campaign medals with library notes about the publication of his diaries in 1976 that gave details of graphic sexual encounters by Britain's upper crust. Very fine. (2)
Evelyn Waugh wrote a book titled 'The Life of Right Reverend Ronald Knox' first published in 1959. Ronald Knox was an English Catholic priest, theologian, author and radio broadcaster. Waugh, a friend of Knox, was asked by the priest to write his biography just before he died in 1957.
