AETHELSTAN, (924-939), penny, crowned bust type, issued 933-938, Oxford Mint, moneyer Sigeland, (1.52 g), obv. crowned and draped bust right breaking through inner circle to edge of flan, legend +AEDELSTAN REX around begins at 8 o'clock, rev. small cross pattee within thin inner circle, legend +SIGELAND MO EA around within outer circle, (S.1094, N.673, BMCviii). Toned, good very fine - nearly extremely fine and a rare moneyer.
