MACEDON, Kingdom of, Alexander III - Philip III, gold quarter stater, (2.14 g), Amphipolis Mint, (c.325-319 B.C.), struck under Antipater, obv. head of Athena to right, wearing necklace and crested Corinthian helmet, decorated with a coiled serpent, rev. thunderbolt above bow and club, **ALEXAN* above, **DR OY* below, (S.6710, Price 165). A few minor marks, otherwise lustrous extremely fine and rare in this condition.
