MAGNENTIUS, (AD 350-353), gold solidus, (4.33 g). Treveri Mint, issued AD 350, obv. around IM CAE MAGN ENTIVS AVG, bareheaded, draped, and cuirassed bust right, rev. around VICTORIA AVG LIB ROMANOR, Victory, holding palm frond, standing right, and Libertas standing left, holding transverse sceptre, both supporting trophy on shaft between them, TR in exergue, (S.18736, RIC VIII 247, Bastien 7, Depeyrot 8/1). Extremely fine with traces of mint bloom, very scarce.
