MACEDON, Kingdom of, Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), silver tetradrachm (16.99g), posthumous issue under Seleukos I Nikator c.311-05 BC, Babylon mint, obv. head of Herakles right wearing lionskin, rev. Zeus enthroned left, right leg drawn back, holding eagle and sceptre, MTR monogram within wreath to left, MI below chair, **BASILEWS* in exergue, **ALEXANDROU* to right, (Price 3746, Mueller 734, Houghton SC 82.5a). Good very fine or better.
