CARACALLA, (A.D. 198-217), silver denarius (3.35g), Rome mint, issued 201-2 AD, pbv. laureate and draped bust right, ANTONINVS PIVS AVG around, rev. galley facing left, with rowers and passengers, ADVENTVS above and AVGVSTOR in exergue (S.6791; RIV VI 121; RSC 8). Traces of porosity, clearning marks on obverse, soft strike on reverse, otherwise very fine and scarce.
