JUSTINIAN I, (527-565 AD), gold solidus (4.44g), Constantinople Mint, obv. helmeted and cuirassed bust facing, holding globus cruciger and shield, D N IVSTINIAVS P P AVG, rev. Victory standing facing, holding long cross and globus cruciger, star in right field, VICTORIA AVCCC around, CONOB in exergue (S.139, MIB I 6, DOC I 8d). Graffito on edges of obverse and reverse, good very fine.
