Arthur Otto Sachse was a consulting engineer by profession, Member Legislative Council 1892-1920, was Minister of Public Instruction and Vice President of Board of Land & Works in the Ministry of Sir Thomas Bent. He was one of the founders of the Royal Geographical Society of Australia.
