SICILY, Messana under the Mamertini, (220-200 B.C.), AE 27 a pentonkion, (11.804 grams), obv. laureate head of Zeus to right, rev. naked warrior charging right holding spear and large circular shield **P* in field to right, (S.1144, BMC 25). Minor surface scratches, otherwise fine and scarce.
