GERMANY, prize medal for the Royal Academy of Art and Sciences in silver 33mm., awarded in Berlin 1814, obv. by (Johann Ludwig) Jachtmann (1776-1842), rev. by Goetze, obv. bust of Friedrich Wilhelm III to right king of Prussia, rev. kneeling figure facing right with drawing board in left hand drawing in pencil in right hand behind plain column with an owl seated facing on top, Corinthian capital behind, legend 'In recognition of application'. In original red case with blue velvet lining, extremely fine and rare.
