ONE POUND, Collins/Allen (1915) F 231491 F, medium black serial numbers with prefix and suffix letters, emergency 'Rainbow Pound' (R.20b, Vort-Ronald 19Bb, Nicholson 5b, this note illustrated in McDonald Pocket Book, p.144). Creases and folds, otherwise nearly very fine and very rare in this condition.

Ex. Deutscher (lot 23), Vort-Ronald (lot 53) and Nicholson collections (lot 1733, Sale 49B).
