RUSSIA, Nicholas I, Russian Napoleonic War copper medals (3) each 65mm, by A.Ljalin, produced in 1834 first two and 1837 for last medal, a) to commemorate the battle of Beresina 1812 (cf.Bramsen 1941); b) battle of Borodino 1812 (cf.Bramsen 1932); c) The Peace of Europe 1815 (cf.Bramsen 1971); each with obverse of the bust of Alexander I with helmet and shield to left by B.A. Kle; rev. a) standing soldier (Roman armour) in ruins of battle, b) group of three fighting, c) Russia with hand over naked figure with shield datted 1815. All attractive brown patina, nearly extremely fine and rare. (3)
