ITALY, Campania, Neapolis (Naples), (c.340-300 B.C.), silver nomos, stater or didrachm, (7.110 grams), obv. head of nymph to right, monogram AP before, Artemis running right behind, rev. bull walking to right, crowned by Nike flying right; below **P*, below exergue [NEOP]OLIT[WN], (cf.S.307, Sambon 473, SNG ANS 365-6, Foggia Hoard 42-3). Chip in edge, slightly porous, banker's mark on neck, otherwise good very fine.
