EGYPT, Kingdom of, Ptolemy I, (323-283 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, issued 305-283 B.C., (14.118 grams), Alexandria mint, obv. diademed head of Ptolemy I to right, with aegis, A behind ear, rev. eagle to left with closed wings, standing on thunderbolt, in front P over **F*, around **BASILEWS PTOLEMAIOU*, (S.7762, Sv. 263, SNG Cop. -, Meydancikkale Hoard 3064ff [dates issue as 292.1-291/0 B.C.). Curious scratch marks in reverese right field, banker's mark on obverse field otherwise good very fine.
