No.440 2/C Const. Thomas Joseph McCormack. N.Z.P. 1897. on first medal, Inspr. Thomas C. Westgarth on second medal, Const. Henry Mills on last medal. First medal engraved, other medals impressed. First medal with edge bumps, contact marks and digs in naming area, good, the other two medals nearly uncirculated. (3)

Ex Mowbray Collectables Numismatic Auction 25 (lot 186 part).^^Thomas Joseph McCormack was born in County Roscommon, Ireland in 1865. His family migrated to New Zealand in the 1870s. He served in the police force all of his working life.In February 1897, while serving at Lyttelton he was promoted to 2 Class Constable in the Canterbury Police Force. He died on 17 October 1937 at the age of 74. His funeral service was conducted at St Anne's Catholic Church at Woolston on 19 October and he was buried at Linwood Cemetery.^^Thomas C.Westgarth was born in 1906. In 1939 he was living in Liverpool and working as a Police Constable. He died in Liverpool in 1972.^^The first two medals with basic research.
