SYRIA, Seleucis and Pieria, Antiochia ad Orontem (Antioch), Caracalla (A.D. 198-217), silver tetradrachm, (13.012 grams), second issue, issued 215-217, obv. laureate head of Caracalla to right, around legend AVT K M A ANT**W*NEINO C C EB, rev. eagle standing facing, head to right, wreath in beak, to left and right of neck **D* and E, around **D*HMAPX E**X [UPA T]O D*, (cf.S.2649, Prieur 224 [notes 73 examples known], Bellinger 19 [ANS Mum. Studies No.3, p.25, Pl.II, 9]). Very fine and scarce.
